ACME Whistles have been made in Birmingham since 1870, building more than 150 years of whistle-making heritage around innovation, reliability and distinctive sound. Founded by Joseph Hudson, the company went on to develop the first police whistle for the Metropolitan Police and the world's first dedicated sports whistle. Today, ACME remains an independent manufacturer, still producing whistles at its Birmingham factory and continuing a tradition of design and development that has seen more than 460 million whistles produced and used around the world.
