These trousers are extremely durable, comfortable to wear and are very warm. The high waist band gives a nice comfortable to the user.
Please be aware that these trousers are long. I am 6 ft 3 inches and even I found the length to be a tad too long.

Great Product!

Great trousers comfortable and well made and definitely made for the longer leg

Excellent trousers. Warm, hard wearing and a nice cut. My only gripe would be the fixed length leg. These are a long leg and would best suit someone over 6 feet tall imo. Early days but I'm very happy with my purchase especially given the reduced price! I doubt you'll find these trousers cheaper elsewhere.

It's so nice having a pair of waterproof trousers that are designed for tall people, the silent motion and poppers are also very welcome features. I haven't had the chance to use them in heavy rain yet but in cold light rain they hold up just fine and the phone mesh pocket is big enough for a large smart phone and keeps it quite secure.

I've had these for about a month and so far I believe them to be excellent waterproof trousers. The fit is very good, accurate waist sizing. The leg length is on the long side but that's a big advantage to me as I find it difficult to purchase this type of trouser with long enough leg length. Multiple pockets strategically well-positioned with silent snap closures, together with quiet fabric make these great for nature photography and similar outdoor pursuits where being quiet is important. They seem to be well-made -I walk in rough country that's often wet with standing water in marshy areas, and they hold up well and keep me dry. Highly recommended!

Worn recently on a 3 night 4 day winter camping trip in Hokkaido, Japan, these trousers outperformed my expectations. I stayed warm and most importantly dry in temps down to -14°C (merino wool thermal layer also) and the silent fabric is great.
My only issue which was my own mistake was to order a size a bit too large for me (I ordered the size 48 -32in waist- and am 170cm, the waist is fine but they are about 10cm too long and with the hydra tic lining and Velcro tabs at the bottom not really able to alter length, although once worn over Sorell winter boots this is not an issue and the little bit of extra room is appreciated. All in all, a great, sturdy, warm and waterproof (so far) pair of trousers.

After a wet week on Dartmoor, I began to think there must be some good waterproof trousers out on the market.
Having owned Paramo and Buffalo garments (and still do) I wondered what Fjallraven had to offer, having been impressed by their range over the years.
Okay firstly they are not cheap, but then quality very rarely is, but Fjallraven kit does tend to last and stand up to hard work.
Found the fit spot on although leg length is generous and the back sits high which is ideal for when carrying a pack.
No waterproof pocket so care needs to be taken as to what you use these for, but a small issue.
Waterproofing is very good, but as others have said the liner can feel cool against your skin, long johns in cold wet weather would obviously be the answer here.
They can feel a little on the warm side, but I have not had chance for use in temperature lower than 5C.
In all they look and feel like a good quality work trouser, comfortable to wear.
The external G1000 fabric can be waxed, but this will wet out over time, although it is quick to dry when the rain stops.
Thinking of first wash in tech wash then treat with cottonproof if this works then almost perfect.
Only minor issue for some might be the colour, as this is more on the brown side of dark olive.

Well I have searched, researched and delved into countless websites, before I came back to the place I know has already carried out the relevant research.
These trousers are nothing short of brilliant. Well made and extremely warm. Ok worn in the summer but the immediacy of the thermal protection is amazing.

Excellent product. I purchased them prior to an autumn visit to Shetland and on one occasion I wore them for a couple of hours in near gale force winds and driving constant rain/water flung up from the sea. My legs stayed dry from the rain and bogs I walked through, although perspiration caused a little dampness probably due to being slightly too warm. I also put my wallet in a front pocket and this did get damp, admittedly this was during the atrocious conditions as described above, so I wasn't too disappointed by this. I usually rate outdoor gear on whether I can ignore the clothing and enjoying walking/bird watching, it was certainly the case with these. The weather was around 14C so it was quite mild and I look forward to using them and giving them a workout in colder weather. I read another review which, as far as I recall, stated that the waist dimensions were generous. I'd agree but this wasn't a problem. The leg length was good too and as I'm tall (+6ft) this is a plus point. Certainly a very good hardcore piece of clothing.

Superb product, just got back in from a good soaking whilst bird watching on my local estuary and these keep the wind and rain out. As other people have said these are a more generous fit than other Fjallraven trousers I have but I like that as for winter use thick long johns could be used. The pockets are also bigger that my other Fjallraven trousers which I prefer. All in all I would highly recommend them.

Received the trousers promptly. I have worn these several times and once in a real downpour. Superb performance. The trousers kept me dry and breathability was outstanding. Highly recommended.

These trousers are made to the very highest standards using the G1000 fabric to good use. They are a very relaxed fit so you may wish to get the smaller size if you are between sizes or use braces if you prefer as they have reinforced areas for brace clips to prevent damage to the fabric and slipping of the brace clasps. The large belt loops allow most belts to be used with these trousers though so you should be comfortable in them. The legs are long and have a Velcro strap at the bottom cuff to tighten around your leg and boots. Two large pockets on the legs are generously sized and the right leg also has a large loop for an axe or knife to be attached.
One of the best features though is the raised waist belt at the back meaning that you can kneel down or bend over and remain well covered on your lower back.
The fabric is meant to be silent but it does still make some noise due to the relaxed fit.
The lining inside the legs is very comfortable but could possibly be cold on skin in the very coldest of conditions so you may need to wear underwear in this scenario.
Buttons, stitching and pockets all seem to be quality and hard wearing.
Using these in the field probably means you will be on your knees a lot and I can recommend investing in the Fjallraven knee pads which fit into the knee pockets in these trousers. The knee pads are pushed through a small slot on the outside of the trousers at the bottom of the knee. The knee pockets are very discreet, so much so that I could not figure out how to get the knee pads in to them at first. The knee pads cannot fall out of these pockets as the hole is very small and they do not move around so you can be confident when kneeling that you will kneel on the pad and not miss it!
Overall an expensive but very worthwhile addition to your outdoor kit which should last for years if they are treated correctly.

I was looking for a winter trouser that could cope with the cold weather in Scotland. I was put onto these trousers by work colleagues and I am not disappointed by the product. The material is bomb proof and they keep your legs nice and dry even in some pretty bad weather. The only downside is that they can be too effective and your legs can get a little sweaty which can feel cold against the slick inner liner but this can be remedied by wearing some long johns. All in all I would highly recommend them as I reckon they will last for years. Thumbs up.

I bought these trousers to stay comfortable whilst out photographing wildlife. They fit well and are very comfortable, particularly with Fjallraven braces. They also work just as well for cold, windy walks along the beach.

Pleased with the quality of the trousers and have put them to test during a wet and windy landscape project - kept me warm and dry. The waist is generous, I ordered my usual size 32 and should have gone down a size. Woodlore service was fast but in their hurry sent me brown rather than dark olive but I'm happy with the colour.

Very pleased with the Brenner trousers. Perfect fit and exceptionally well made. More than plenty pocket space and suits my woodland fungi and photography forays just fine. Many thanks.

Trousers are fairly light weight for winter lined trousers. Very warm so perhaps not suitable for working hard in milder conditions. Mine are a very generous fit so if hovering between two waist sizes you might find the smaller size suitable.

Very comfortable, well made and ideal for my purposes which are hunting and teaching bushcraft.

Only disadvantage for me is they are long legged - but then I have that problem with all trousers.

These are a fantastic bit of kit! I was concerned when I hit the magic buy button that I had spent too much on a pair of trousers, but as soon as they arrived (very quick delivery btw), I stopped worrying. You can see the quality immediately, and that sense is just underlined when you get out in the winter for a good long test walk. They are extremely comfortable to wear, and manage to feel sturdy, but also comfortably light for walking in. That's a good trick!
Genuinely windproof and waterproof out of the box, with the dual layers, I would recommend getting the wax blocks to treat the outer G1000 material, as this does definitely allow you to tune the level of waterproofing you require, and makes the outer layer more durable too. With a single treatment of wax, these are up there with some of my motorbike kit in terms of waterproofing, for considerably less money! I love these, highly recommended.
