The Fjallraven Smock No.1 is a technical and premium-quality coat, created to withstand tough use in forest and mountain environments throughout the year, even in exposed conditions. Made from a tried-and-tested blend of organic cotton and recycled polyester, the anorak is wind- and water-resistant, with extra strong reinforcements at the shoulders, sleeves and pockets. As part of Fjallraven's Numbers range, the Smock No.1 symbolises uncompromised design and quality with many generous pockets that easily have room for the contents of a small backpack.
Constructed with a full-length two-way zipper with protective flap and spacious adjustable hood, this anorak gives effective and reliable protection from the elements. The hood itself can be adjusted so it fits the head perfectly and the visor can be folded to either provide maximum wind protection or more peripheral vision. When not in use, the hood forms a high collar, which protects and warms the neck.
The Smock No.1 has been made from G-1000 Eco, an environmentally-friendly blend of organic cotton and recycled polyester, with extra durable G-1000 Heavy Duty on the shoulders, arms and pockets. The fabric and details were chosen to minimise their impact on the environment (utilising leftover strips of leather for example), while also making it easy to replace exposed sections after years of use.
Just like the Jacket No. 68, it is designed for advanced outdoor life all year around, but the Smock No. 1 has a longer cut and a greater number of even more robust functions. Maps, first aid kits, smaller tools and other items needed for a day out in the forest can be stowed in the many spacious pockets on the chest, lower down, on the back and sleeves.
The front zipper is two-way and has a protective flap and easy-grip buttons that are fastened to the garment with corded ribbon. This smock also features a drawcord adjustment at the waist, an extra gusset under the arms and pre-shaped sleeves for freedom of movement.
