Great little whistle - seems to be pretty bombproof and will work even if it gets wet. A no-brainer for the price!

Loud!

It's light. It's loud. It's got the RM logo on it. What's not to like? I bought a few to go in various packs and on a necklace arrangement, along with Uncle Bill's tweezers.

Great whistle. Very loud whilst still small and very light. I bought two for my kids for our recent hiking trip in the woodlands of North Carolina and they gave me a bit of reassurance that if we got separated they would have a means of signalling.

Inspiration from the 'Out On The Land' book to make a neck lanyard. Useful item to have to hand.

I have carried a fox micro whistle for the past 5 years around my neck, it never comes off me. The whistle is all plastic construction with no parts to fail or fall out, there is nothing that can go wrong with it. The form factor is very slim, I can wear it under a tshirt without it sticking out.. The noise generated by this is very loud, it makes your ears ring and can be heard from a long distance. I would suggest buying from a reputable retailer such as Woodlore because the fox 40 has been copied and sold as genuine on other sites.
I will buy another one of these if I lose mine. Postage was prompt from Woodlore so thank you for that.

For such a simple thing it packs such a punch!

Got one for the house and one as a spare at the office. Great!

Always have this on me. It is very loud. Not needed it yet though thank goodness.

Decent whistle when you give it some real puff.

The whistle works well. It is easy to use and very loud! Not the most used bit of kit but it is good to have ready if needed.

Great service as usual from Woodlore. It is an essential piece of kit. Slightly disappointed as the whistle is not as loud as had expected despite a full lung burst.

Just a rebrand of a very capable whistle but does the job well.

I haven't tested this to its full potential yet. It was bought for the fundamental bushcraft course this August, in case I got lost in the woods but fortunately I didn't get lost. When I tested it at home it was incredible loud. I like the fact that you can hang it round your neck without worrying about getting strangled if it gets caught in something. It has a breaker in the cord which can be reconnected.

Lightweight, loud with quite a high pitch, and a good looking design, I wear this comfortably around my neck with a fire steel when I'm out and about.

Compact, light and very noisy.

A good loud whistle, the low profile reduces the risk of rubbing.
The lanyard is very comfortable and it's easy to add other useful items.

Sits comfortably in my pocket on a key ring, never 'had' to use it, but it is certainly loud and well designed.

Loud and effective. High quality lanyard included.

Simply first class service to the Channel Islands.....again. Superb packaging and lightening speed. Thanks. The item is well built, extremely loud and compact. No risk of freezing over or breaking. Solid. Recommend.

The Fox 40 Micro Whistle is by far one of the best whistles that I've ever owned and I've been buschrafting for 30 years.

Probably the best whistle you can buy for the money.

I got my first whistle around 2 years ago and at that time they used to sell it without a lanyard.
I can get exactly the same item without Ray's logo here in the US, but as I am one of his biggest fans I got mine from Ray's store which is black and has Ray's logo on it. I find it very useful and handy. It is very loud and you can hear it from far distances. It is awesome gear and a must have.

Works perfectly the same and is smaller than the Tornado whistle. I always carry one around my neck and don't feel it at all. Nice item.

Affordable, tough, quality item. Perfect for key rings. For camping, expeditions and carrying everyday for personal safety.

An excellent blast! Good for attaching to the pfd ready for a river trip.

Excellent whistle. Very loud and light weight. A fair price also.

Great little whistle and very good service from Woodlore again

Excellent kit, my second one is always with me, the other I keep with my kayaking gear.

Ear splittingly loud, nice and compact and cheapest I've found on the net. What more can be said. Thanks Woodlore for the very quick delivery.

Lovely little whistle. The sleek design means you can put it around your neck and forget about it unless you need it.

Small, loud, comfortable to wear round the neck if you're in the sort of spot you'd want to. What more to say?

I haven't had to blow this thing in an emergency yet and I hope I never do, but if it happens I'm safe in the knowledge that I'll be heard.

This whistle is so much louder then the standard emergency whistle, its more compact, and better looking too - though thats not too important, but it does help.
