This soap is perfect for at home and in particular out in the wild. It has great cleansing qualities. I use it all the time.

This is the first time I have ordered this soap and I really like the smokey pine scent and have used it to wash, shave and shampoo. It makes a nice creamy lather and is a pleasure to use. I have also tried it out to do a bit of clothes hand-washing and washing dishes and it does both tasks well and I could not detect any smokey residue on the clothes or dishes. This was just a trial at home, but you could take a bar as your all-in-one cleaning solution when camping, or travelling, and you would not be disappointed. I've already used two of the four bars supplied, so will no doubt re-order at some point. A useful item to add to an order to reach the threshold to qualify for free postage.

This was an impulse purchase during a visit to the new shop in East Sussex. I was attracted by the aroma, which is noticable as soon as you enter the shop. The Missus says it reminds her of bonfire smoke, but I disagree, it's a lot more subtle. I've always preferred bar soap to gunk in plastic bottles but I've been disappointed lately by the shrinkflation of the products on the high street - I want a proper-sized bar not something like one of those complimentary things in hotels. Anyway, having used this soap now, I recommend it.

Purchased as I have moved away from company's that fill their products with chemicals and fillers. Bar does what it is meant to do, gets you clean. Upon opening, the fragrance is quite strong and smells of pine tar and wood smoke. But the scent is far milder on myself once dry. So not my first choice on a date night, but for work, and camping trips it's the one I take. Service great from Woodlore team.

I have used this soap for several years now. I have regularly bought it from this site. The purchase process is quick and easy, the delivery excellent. The soap is kind to my skin and also good for hair. It works in hard and soft water. The smell may not be to everyone's taste but it does not hang around and smells quite pleasant after it has been used. I find that each bar lasts approximately a month. I stick the remnants of the last bar onto the new one and therefore I have no waste. I shall continue using it.

I've been using this for years now and love it. Theres something about it that feels so much better and more comfortable than modern gells etc, I love the smell too. I wash my hair with it and it even works well for washing dishes if the need arises.

This soap is fantastic. I have been using it for years. I use nothing else, skin, hair and shaving; it does it all. I regularly recommend it to friends and family. The only downside is the price. If I look back through my orders four bars started at £16. This order was £20 for four bars and six months later the price has gone to £24 for four bars. At this rate it won't be long before it has doubled the original price. Coal tar soaps can do a similar job and they are still coming in at under £1 a bar. Unfortunately they don't have the same amazing smell.

I am always pleased by this soap, it lathers well in both soft and hard water and feels very good on the skin. It also washes hair (and beard) leaving both soft and clean. The smell is of woods and trees a lovely reminder of the outdoors even inside.

An absolutely awesome product! My skin feels better and it smells so good! My partner has itchy skin due to medications and the itch has lessened. I am very happy with this product and will in time purchase more.

This is great soap, it can heal minor cuts and you can shampoo your hair so you can cut down on weight with your travel gear and bushcraft kit, it's excellent stuff.

Does what it says on the tin really. Use for hair, skin and shaving. I like the natural smell too.

Delivery was fast, well packaged and kept up to date on status. It was a lifesaver for my sensitive skin. At 20 weeks pregnant I developed a rash and intense itching on my torso and legs that worsened during the night. Skin issues are apparently a common complaint in pregnancy. I already have sensitive skin and Eczema which is now under control. I was keen to try a natural solution rather than antihistamines and steroids. I came across a couple of online posts from people who had used Grandpa's Pine Tar Soap and thought I would give it a try, especially as coal tar soaps that are usually recommended for sensitive skin no longer use coal tar due to EU regulations. After a couple of days using this soap, alongside changing to non bio washing up powder and probiotics, the rash and itching began to clear. I've been using it now for the past 15 weeks. The rash and itching have now gone, it leaves my skin clean and clear, and one bar lasts me about 3-4 weeks with daily use. The smell might not be for everyone, just think of campfires but I quite like it and if you moisturise after showering then the scent doesn't linger on the skin.

I think I'll be sticking with this post pregnancy.

I was looking for a soap that helped with dry skin and rosacea, and could also be used as a shampoo for my hair and beard without leaving an itchy dryness. Grandpa's Wonder Pine Tar soap does the job. It does have a strong scent out of the box, but this lessens after the first use and becomes very pleasant. I definitely recommend this soap, and I will buy it again.

This truly is a great product, the scent is of woodsmoke which when confined to the indoors is a gentle reminder of where you want to be. It lathers well in any water and the bars last a long time. This four pack should easily last until the end of the year.

Smells great without being overpowering and works well for hair and body. I use it both at home and when out in the field.

My husband has used this for a while now and it's fantastic. A great shampoo and soap all in one. It helps especially with eczema, heals heal skin blemishes. We love natural items such as this. Highly recommend. Keep in a soap box and will keep for ages.

I've struggled to find a soap that doesn't make me itch, especially during winter months, until I tried this. Good smell, reminds me of campfires. Environmentally friendly too. On the expensive side for everyday use.
