The Ray Mears Leather MY Parang Sheath has been designed specifically for the MY Parang Duku Chandong - 10 inch parang and provides an alternative and attractive home for this useful tool.

The width of your parang blade is completely covered in this elegantly shaped sheath and is secured with a Sam Browne stud and strap which can be swivelled out of the way when released for unfettered drawing and insertion of the blade. The handle of the parang sits over the belt dangler which allows for comfortable positioning of the sheathed blade and offers the wearer freedom of movement thanks to the solid brass harness D-ring which connects the two parts. The generous belt dangler loop will take belts up to 7.5 cm wide.

Hand-made from start to finish, this is a durable, high-quality item produced with great care from premium materials. Solid brass studs match the D-ring and hand stitching in a braided polyester thread compliments the hand burnished edges. A buffed wax finish provides a subtle lustre to the full grain leather. As with many of our leather goods, the sheath comes embossed with the exclusive Ray Mears 'Snowshoe' logo, just below the fastening strap.

Please store your sheath and parang in a dry airy place to prevent deterioration. Occasional application of a greasy leather feed such as Norsol Leather Balm will improve longevity of your sheath and help to protect it and the blade within.

Please note that while this sheath has been designed specifically for the MY Parang Duku Chandong - 10 Inch, these blades are handmade so there are some small variations in dimensions. The sheath is designed to allow for these variations but if you experience any difficulties with the fit please contact the Woodlore office.

All of our leather and canvas goods are hand-made by Woodlore's resident leather worker Becky Brewster, a craftswoman with decades of experience. The leather used in this product is vegetable tanned with full, natural grain and hand-dyed in house to the unique Woodlore rich brown colour. Orders with a total value over £300.00 will be dispatched free via a next day delivery service within the UK at no extra cost.

A full refund or exchange will be given provided that the items have not been worn or used, and are returned to us within 30 days of purchase, together with all relative labels and packaging. You are responsible for the cost of returning items.
