Smells very nice and kept insects away. The colour is dark but when applied no colour is left on your skin. I will always keep a tin in my bag. Very small and light, lasts ages.

Easy application, direct from the tin, meaning no waste and a long lasting product, unlike creams or liquids. Great size tin for trekking, I had mine in my hip belt pocket of my backpack for easy top up access. The product itself has quite a pleasant scent, which seems to ward off most insects, including mosquitoes and midges. Unfortunately though it doesn't seem to do a great deal with Horseflies, as I was bitten all over by them on a recent trekking trip to Dartmoor, especially whilst walking near the rivers and streams there.

I can't review this product because I didn't use it yet. But its strong smell of pine tar oil will keep away boar as well as insects for sure.

I have not been able to properly test this product for bug repellent properties, but I am sure it will perform well given it's natural formulation that been used effectively over many years. However, I will point out that the amount of product you get for you money is quite small (30g). The tin container measures 2" x 0.75" to put it in prospective for future buyers. Still, I am a big proponent (as a chemical engineer) of such natural solutions over man made. The latter which often causes more harm to the body than good.

Very pleased with this product, just make sure you cover every bit of skin that is showing, I didn't use it on my finger's and knuckles and that's were I was bitten.
